Ungelt

All of this goods should be weighed and measured. The vendor must pay tax for his items. This tax was called "Ungelt", what is a bit similar German word "Geld", means money.

This building, same like a tax, get name "Ungelt". Because it’s building of former customs. Exactly here all vendors had paying their taxes. The facade is painted by masters of 16th century. Some allegorical scenes are depicted here.

Somewhere it hardly to see what exactly is depicted, but for renovating we need use the methods and materials from that epoch - this is condition of UNESCO.

Please, note, over entrans to the Irish pub (there is the Irish pub now, inside tnis building) - you be able to see the year of construction - 1560!
