Side of Astronomic clock

Right on thise place had located the place for executions previously. If you look closely, under your feet you will see white crosses embedded in the pavement. There are 27 of them, like the 27 nobles who were executed after the Battle of the White Mountain. With crosses you can also see the date when the execution took place. On the tower near the clock at eye level you can see an iron memorial plaque with the names of executed nobles.

What part of the burgundy building is this?This is just a small part of the Old Town’s former town hall, which was preserved after being bombed in World War II. After the end of the war, they decided not to restore the town hall building, and the territory that the town hall had previously occupied was given over to a small public garden, where there are now tents selling various goodies.
