Monument of Charles IV

The sculpture of Charles IV is made of bronze, so it has oxidized and turned green over time. The sculpture was built in our time. In his hands, Karl holds the document with which he opens Charles University. At the beginning, the university had only four faculties: law, art, medicine and architectural.

The four seated sculptures below depict these four faculties. You can walk around the monument and see what they are holding in their hands. These are the symbols of these faculties.
